Twenty Years Of The Wine Cellar Festival - First Lineup Announced
The first wave of acts has been revealed for The Wine Cellar's 20th anniversary bash, an incredible achievement suitably marked in style with a six night extravaganza running from 27th May to 1st June. Honouring the crucial cultural history of countless live events hosted by the humble dive bar / venue within St. Kevin's Arcade on Karangahape Road from 2004 onwards, the festival's diverse first instalment includes an evening of local songwriting luminaries curated by Babe Martin, sonically untamed Kiwijahzz trio Trioglodyte with guests, Storehouse playing "profane blues and calypso" in the bar room, and an event curated by free improvising collective Vitamin S.
